Tension In PSG Dressing Room Over Neymar Salary Increase Demand

There is a lot of tension in PSG dressing room after Neymar Father informed President Nasser Al Khelaifi that his son doesn’t want to remain at the club, but had previously proposed an extension of the Brazilian’s contract beyond 2022, which would’ve entailed a new salary increase.

Coexistence at Paris Saint-Germain hasn’t been easy this season, and a potential salary increase for Neymar has only widened the gap that exists between the Brazilian and his teammates.

Tensions in the dressing room is at its peak, despite PSG winning the treble.

According to Liberation, another suggestion from Neymar’s father has tipped some of the squad over the edge.

Neymar Sr. informed President Nasser Al Khelaifi that his son doesn’t want to remain at the club, but had previously proposed an extension of the Brazilian’s contract beyond 2022, which would’ve entailed a new salary increase.

Marquinhos confessed it to Adrien Rabiot in a training session, and the Frenchman didn’t take it well at all.

Rabiot, whose contract ends in June 2019, is also immersed in urgent negotiations.

His anger was evident and he said in front of his teammates phrases like “it’s all about Neymar” and “he should play by himself.”

But it didn’t end there.

When the problem was highlighted in the WhatsApp group that the PSG players have, Rabiot received the support of his French teammates.
